Sabrina & Stefan – Chateau Lake Louise Wedding
May 7, 2012
We are so excited to share the wedding of Sabrina & Stefan with you. Sabrina and Stefan were married on a wintery March day at the iconic Chateau Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. Sabrina has been a huge supporter of our work for many years, so when she contacted us to tell us of her engagement we were beyond excited. This is truly one awesome couple. Not only are they super talented athletes, and unbelievably generous, they are HOT. Most importantly, they brought us homemade chocolate expresso cake, when we had them over to view their images for the first time. For this alone, we will be forever indebted. Sabrina and Stefan naively gave Lanny and I full creative license when photographing their wedding. As always, we jumped at the opportunity to get the most creative and fearless images possible. At one point, this even involved discretely taking a few pictures of Stefan in the shower (I would have gladly traded places with Lanny for this;). As Lanny was capturing the peaceful bliss of Stefan taking his last shower as a bachelor, I was trying to keep my head above water in the room Sabrina was getting ready in. At one point, I counted 17 girls in the room! Yes…. 17 girls in one hotel room. You don’t have to know Sabrina for very long, to understand why she has so many wonderful girlfriends. It was fun capturing the chaos of girls practicing their dance moves, mothers doing last minute alterations to the dress, and Sabrina getting hair and make-up done, all at the same time! At the peak of the chaos and confusion, when Sabrina was getting her dress on, her very sweet parents passed her a note that read, “Enjoy the moments and the memories.” I am so grateful that I was in position to capture this 1/4 second interaction. The remainder of the day was just pure magic with wonderfully infused elements of music and dancing. A flashmob of Sabrina and her girlfriends started the reception, which set the tone for the remainder of the evening. Sabrina and Stefan, Lanny and I are so grateful that we were given the privilege to photograph your wedding. You two are such great people and we look forward to sharing many more chocolate expresso cakes. Almost forgot…. Huge thank you to our buddy Joel, for helping us out for the day!

I smiled as I looked at all these pictures. It looked like a fabulous wedding. You captured some magical moments. There is one picture of the bride out of focus and I am thinking maybe her dad looking on with such a beautiful look of pride on his face. It made me get teary eyed. Beautiful as always. Can I book you guys for a photo shoot of your mom and dad on their 35 wedding anniversary this June. Great job and I also love the writeup – it set the stage. Awesome.
You guys are AMAZING. Beyond beautiful! I have always been a big fan!
Thanks so much Blake. That means a lot coming from you! Hope to catch up again soon:)
I agree with Jill…that is a beautiful photo of a “proud” gentleman. Nice to see MJ attended! Say, isn’t that Sabrina Harper, who we first saw years ago, running out of Red Deer?
No words to describe these brilliant photos. Almost feel as if I was right there…..what amazing memories you have captured! Beauty.
