Rachel and Steve – Banff Springs Engagement Photography
March 14, 2012
We provide a complimentary engagement session within all of our wedding packages. Lanny and I insist on this for a few reasons. Mainly, we want to get to know our couples a little more so that on the actual wedding day, we feel like old friends. It’s also a great opportunity to practice (for us and the couple), learn how much direction they need, see what makes them laugh and how comfortable they are in front of our cameras. Rachel and Steve are one of those couples that need very little direction on how to be intimate and photogenic at the same time. Randomly roaming around the Banff Spring Hotel with this couple, we found endless potential with gorgeous lighting, stunning reflections, and colourful foregrounds. They were the perfect models, making each other laugh at the perfect moments. It was a good thing that they had a dinner reservation for 6:30, or we could have shot all night long. Below are a few of our favourite images. We are super psyched to be shooting their wedding at The Calgary Aerospace Museum in July.

Cathryn and Cliff’s Lake Louise Engagement Photo Shoot
March 3, 2012
Our blog has been a little quiet lately, as Lanny and I have been relishing in the “quiet season”. However, we’re ramping back up for a very full and exciting 2012. Catheryn and Cliff will be our first wedding couple of the year. We’re looking forward to shooting their Post Hotel wedding in a few weeks. For their engagement session, we met at Lake Louise, amidst the annual pond hockey tournament. There are few things more Canadian than hockey, falling snow and rocky mountains. At times, we felt we were in the middle of a Tim Horton’s commercial. Enjoy!

The one in front of the hockey players is my favorite. Nice job.
